Welcome to my blog

Hello and welcome to my blog.
As a child I wanted to be a vet or an artist ( not that the careers are mutually exclusive but as a child everything is either or!) I was born loving animals and would seek out their company where ever I was, I'm one of those people that chats to the dog at parties! My first art job was a figurine painter, I was 15 and had a room full of Jemima Puddle Ducks waiting for me to paint for Church's China ,in Northampton (sadly no longer there). So while most of my friends were on their paper rounds, I'd be painting in my room! I did follow a career as a vet nurse as well, qualifying and working in practices around the country, this has given me an insight to the variety of breeds and personalities of animals up close.
I completed a fine art degree in 2010 ,as a mature student, gaining a 2.1, a child and a husband along the way! So that's a little bit about me, I'll be blogging about courses, exhibitions and my art process, so please pop by every now and then to see what it's like to work as an artist.
